Dr. Kevin Nemelka is West Jordan Veterinary Hospital's new Managing Veterinarian as of July 2023 and a Salt Lake City native. Dr. Nemelka began his tenure at West Jordan in 2021 as a relief doctor and eventually joined the team full-time, naturally being a mentor and building meaningful relationships with his patients and pet owners over time.

Dr. Nemelka completed his undergrad at the University of Utah and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University, as well as holding title of Diplomate, American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine - always staying up to date and conducting research on veterinary medicine’s newest findings. Alongside this, Dr. Nemelka was also a colonel of the US Army where he served 20 years.

When outside of work, Dr. Nemelka enjoys fishing, sports, and spending time with his family.
